Akhil Akkineni Film Lenin Postponed to July 10 with Star Voice Over Rumors

The release of actor Akhil Akkineni’s upcoming Telugu film *Lenin* has been postponed to July 10, 2026, to allow the production team more time for high-quality post-production work. The film, which was originally scheduled to hit screens in Hyderabad and across the region on June 26, is also reportedly seeking a senior star hero to provide a key voice-over for the narrative.
According to industry sources, a prominent senior star hero is expected to lend his voice to the project. The voice-over is slated to play a crucial role in the film's narrative, though it remains unconfirmed whether the narration will be limited to the introductory segment or span multiple key episodes. The inclusion of a major star's voice is highly anticipated to elevate the film's story and generate promotional buzz.
Speculation has arisen regarding the identity of the star voice-over artist. Since veteran actor Nagarjuna has been associated with the film's development from the beginning, some reports suggest the team may request his involvement. Other prominent names circulating in the industry include Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, and Balakrishna, though no official confirmation has been made by the filmmakers.
The postponement has temporarily paused the promotional activities and buzz surrounding the film. This delay has reportedly caused frustration among fans, as the movie has already faced multiple postponements. Aside from general post-production quality requirements, sources suggest that a local concert by music composer Thaman in Hyderabad also impacted the post-production schedule.
Directed by Murali Kishore Abburu, also known as Kiran Muralikishore Abbur of *Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha* fame, *Lenin* is produced under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios. This project marks Akhil Akkineni's next major action venture following his previous film, *Agent*. Sreeleela is also reported to be cast as the female lead for the film.
