AR Murugadoss Credits Director Sasi For Saving Ajith Kumar Starrer Dheena

During the pre-release event for the film 'Nooru Sami' in Madras, prominent filmmaker AR Murugadoss revealed that he had once seriously considered abandoning his directorial debut movie, 'Dheena', which starred actor Ajith Kumar. Murugadoss credited fellow director Sasi with saving the blockbuster project by offering critical advice and encouragement during a challenging phase of its production.

Speaking at the promotional gathering, Murugadoss shared details about his long-standing friendship with Sasi, explaining how Sasi has consistently supported him during difficult periods of his career. He expressed deep appreciation for Sasi's role in his ultimate success as a filmmaker.

Murugadoss recalled a particularly stressful period during the making of 'Dheena' when he believed the project was failing. He explained that he felt certain elements of the production were not working and began to believe the film would never be completed.

"There was a time when I seriously thought of dropping Dheena. I felt certain things were not working and believed the film might not happen. At that moment, I met Sasi and shared my worries with him," Murugadoss said during his speech.

In his address, Murugadoss described the advice from Sasi that changed his mindset. Sasi told him that walking away from a film without fighting for it was a defeat in itself, urging him to keep trying until the very end. Sasi also told him that if he could get 70 percent of the film right, the audience might perceive it as 100 percent.

Murugadoss stated that these words provided him with the confidence he needed to return to the project. He credited Sasi as the sole reason he decided to continue directing 'Dheena'.

The pre-release event for 'Nooru Sami' featured several heartwarming speeches by popular filmmakers. Directed by Sasi and starring Vijay Antony, the movie is scheduled for release on June 19 and has already generated strong interest among audiences.
