On Monday, June 15, 2026, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) spokesperson Manne Krishank met with Hyderabad District Collector Priyanka Ala to demand immediate intervention to protect an eight-acre government land parcel in Thokatta, Trimulgherry. The property, valued at an estimated Rs 800 crore, is currently under private control despite historical records indicating it belongs to the government.

During the meeting, Krishank submitted a formal representation highlighting that the land, located in Survey No. 157/1, has historically been classified as government (Poramboke Sarkari) land. He noted that decades of revenue records, land encroachment proceedings, and legal disputes consistently reflect the government's interest and ownership in the property.

The BRS spokesperson pointed out that the same land parcel was proposed in 2025 for the construction of 6,000 Indiramma Houses by Congress leaders, including Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Sri Ganesh. According to Krishank, this proposal further demonstrates that the land was recognized as government property intended for public welfare projects.

In his representation, the BRS leader demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the title, classification, possession, and legal status of the land. He urged the administration to examine historical revenue, survey, and legal records through a joint verification process involving revenue, survey, and legal authorities.

Additionally, Krishank called for legal action to safeguard the state's interest, an investigation into any alleged irregularities or misuse of authority, and the public disclosure of all relevant records. He also requested clarification on the status of the proposed 6,000 Indiramma Houses project on the site.

The delegation led by Krishank sought to protect the valuable government land asset from encroachment or misuse. The BRS spokesperson urged the District Collector to thoroughly investigate the status of the eight-acre land parcel and verify all historical records to safeguard government interests in the property.

District Collector Priyanka Ala assured the BRS delegation that the matter would be examined and appropriate action would be taken to address the concerns raised.
