Cockroach Janta Party Protests at Dharna Chowk Demanding Dharmendra Pradhan's Resignation

Protesters led by the Cockroach Janta Party gathered at Dharna Chowk in Hyderabad on Sunday, 14 June 2026, to demand the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The demonstration was organized in response to ongoing controversies surrounding alleged NEET paper leaks and irregularities in the CBSE's on-screen marking system.
The protest drew a large crowd of demonstrators representing the Cockroach Janta Party and various other partner organisations. Gathering at the designated protest site of Dharna Chowk, the participants voiced their strong frustration against the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre.
During the demonstration, the gathered protesters raised several slogans, including "we want justice" and "resign Dharmendra Pradhan," to express their dissatisfaction with the handling of the national educational examinations.
Activist Sonam Wangchuk was expected to address the gathering. In a social media post, Wangchuk indicated his plans to speak to the assembled protesters at the venue.
Local law enforcement monitored the situation closely. According to a senior police official, the authorities had granted official permission to the Cockroach Janta Party to conduct their dharna until Sunday afternoon.
The protest has added to the growing pressure on Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the nationwide controversies involving the NEET examination paper leaks and the marking irregularities within the CBSE system.
