The Dahisar Police have registered a case against a man for allegedly stalking a 40-year-old woman and demanding sexual favors in the Dahisar locality of Mumbai. The legal action was initiated after the woman filed a formal complaint detailing the harassment she faced.

The complainant is employed at a co-operative credit society, where she is responsible for carrying out financial collection work. Her job requires her to travel to various spots, typically involving regular visits to the Dahisar vegetable market area as well as the Borivali RTO area to perform her collection duties.

According to the police complaint, the accused began stalking the woman and subsequently demanded sexual favors from her. When the woman refused to comply with his demands, the man allegedly resorted to intimidation.

The accused threatened the victim, stating that he would "leak" defamatory news reports against her in local news outlets if she did not yield to his demands.

Following the complaint, the Dahisar Police officially registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused. The police have booked the man under specific charges, including sexual harassment, stalking, intimidation, and defamation.
