A fire broke out in a house in the Bandra East area of Mumbai at night, prompting Bollywood actress Daisy Shah to publicly criticize election campaigners for their lack of civic sense. The incident occurred during an active election campaign near her residential building.

Shah was walking her dogs near her residence when the fire started. She subsequently shared a video of the incident on her Instagram account, expressing her outrage over the safety hazards caused by the campaigners.

In her social media post, Shah made it clear that she does not support any political group, stating, "I have got nothing to do with any political party!!! But when u hire teams to run campaigns for your elections please make sure they have some common sense in them."

The actress strongly condemned the practice of setting off fireworks in close proximity to homes. "Bursting crackers next to the buildings is not the way to go about it," Shah wrote, pointing to the fire as a direct consequence of this behavior.

Shah also revealed that the campaigners had previously attempted to enter her residential premises. She credited her building's management for preventing them from entering, writing, "Thank fully our building committee refused their entry to go door to door." She noted that she now considers this refusal entirely justified given the safety risks that unfolded.

In her final remarks, the actress called for immediate accountability from those managing the political campaigns. "This is what happens when people lack civic sense. It ain’t a natural calamity it’s caused by brainless people. TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY … ITS HIGH TIME," Shah wrote.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety and civic responsibility of campaign teams operating in residential neighborhoods during election periods.
