David Dhawan to Direct 2026 Bollywood Film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai

The upcoming Bollywood film "Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai," directed by David Dhawan, is officially scheduled for release in 2026. The production stars Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles, alongside supporting cast member Ali Asgar.

The storyline of the film focuses on the life of Jaswinder, who is also known as Jass. Played by Varun Dhawan, Jass works as a wedding photographer. His life changes when he is hired to work at a wedding for the sister of a woman named Bani, played by Mrunal Thakur. During the event, Jass falls for Bani, who is charmed by him. The two decide to get married.

However, the marriage faces a major hurdle five years later. Bani asks for a divorce because Jass wants to have a child, while she is completely against the idea. The legal proceedings bring them before a judge, played by Ali Asgar. Hoping that the couple might reconcile their differences, the judge decides to annul the marriage after a period of six months.

Despite the judge's hopes, Bani remains clear that she wants to separate from Jass. Heartbroken by the situation, Jass decides to leave and shifts to London.

While living in London, Jass meets Preet, played by Pooja Hegde. The two start dating, and their relationship progresses well. However, the situation turns complicated when Bani unexpectedly ends up at Jass's place in London.

Upon her arrival, Bani announces to Jass that she is pregnant with his child. In a dramatic coincidence, Preet also tells Jass on the very same day that she is expecting a child as well. The film follows the consequences of these simultaneous pregnancies.

The movie's promotional materials also highlight songs such as "Chunnari Chunnari – Let’s Go."
