David Dhawan's 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai' Plot Details Revealed for 2026 Release

The upcoming Bollywood film 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai' has officially revealed its central storyline and key cast details ahead of its planned theatrical release in 2026. Directed by David Dhawan, the film stars Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles.

According to the newly released details, the story focuses on Jaswinder, also known as Jass, played by Varun Dhawan. Jass works as a professional wedding photographer. He falls in love with Bani, played by Mrunal Thakur, after meeting her while working at her sister's wedding. Bani is charmed by Jass, and the two decide to get married.

The narrative takes a dramatic turn five years into their marriage. Bani asks Jass for a divorce because he wants to have a child, whereas she is completely against the idea. The couple's case goes before a judge, played by Ali Asgar, who decides to annul the marriage after a six-month period. The judge hopes that the couple will use this time to reconcile their differences.

However, Bani remains clear that she wants to separate from her husband. Heartbroken by the turn of events, Jass decides to shift his life to London. While living in London, he meets Preet, played by Pooja Hegde. The two begin dating, and their relationship progresses smoothly.

The conflict intensifies when Bani unexpectedly shows up at Jass's residence in London. She announces to him that she is pregnant with his child. On the exact same day, Preet also shares the news with Jass that she is expecting a child, creating a major dilemma for him.

The film's promotional materials have also been lined up, featuring a total of 63 photos and eight videos, including a song titled 'Chunnari Chunnari – Let’s Go'. 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai' is set to release in theatres in 2026.
