MUMBAI — The upcoming Bollywood comedy-drama 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai', directed by veteran filmmaker David Dhawan, is scheduled for release in 2026. The film, which stars Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde, follows a chaotic relationship drama that unfolds between India and London.

The storyline centers on Jaswinder, also known as Jass, played by Varun Dhawan. Jass is a professional wedding photographer who falls in love with Bani, played by Mrunal Thakur, while covering her sister's wedding. Bani is charmed by him, and the couple eventually marries.

However, the marriage faces a major crisis five years later. Bani asks for a divorce because Jass is eager to start a family and have a child, while she is completely against the idea.

In an attempt to resolve the conflict, a judge, played by actor Ali Asgar, decides to annul the union after a six-month period, hoping the couple will reconcile. Despite this cooling-off period, Bani remains clear about her desire to separate from Jass.

Following the heartbreak, Jass relocates to London to start a new life. There, he meets Preet, played by Pooja Hegde, and the two begin dating. Just as their relationship progresses smoothly, Jass's past catches up with him in an unexpected way.

Bani arrives at Jass's residence in London and announces that she is pregnant with his child. In a double twist, Preet also reveals to Jass on the very same day that she is expecting. The movie explores the chaotic aftermath of these simultaneous developments.

Promotional materials, including 63 photos and eight videos featuring the song 'Chunnari Chunnari – Let’s Go', have begun rolling out in anticipation of the film's 2026 release.
