Film Nagar Police Book Nagarkurnool Man for Harassing Married Woman

The Film Nagar police on June 15, 2026, registered a criminal case against a 25-year-old man from Nagarkurnool district for allegedly stalking, harassing, and sending obscene messages to a married woman in the Film Nagar area of Hyderabad.

The suspect, identified as Degaraju, allegedly pressured the 24-year-old victim to end her marriage and marry him instead.

According to the police, the complainant resides in Film Nagar. She reported that Degaraju had been sending her obscene messages and making repeated phone calls, causing her severe distress.

In her complaint, the woman alleged that the suspect subjected her to continuous mental harassment by demanding that she leave her husband. She further stated that Degaraju frequently stalked her on the road and continued to trouble her despite her clear objections to his behavior.

Fearing for her safety, the woman approached the local police and lodged a formal complaint against the suspect.

Based on her complaint, the Film Nagar police registered a criminal case against Degaraju and initiated an investigation. Officers are currently examining the allegations to take appropriate legal action against the suspect.
