Four family members found dead in Tivli village of Washim district

Four members of a family, including a woman and two young children, were found dead in Tivli village within the Malegaon taluka of Maharashtra's Washim district, in what police suspect to be a case of suicide. The tragic incident came to light on a Sunday afternoon, prompting an immediate response from local law enforcement authorities who have now launched a full investigation.
According to preliminary information released by the police officials, the husband was found hanging inside. Meanwhile, his wife, their young son, and their daughter are alleged to have died after jumping into a village well.
Sub-Inspector Imran Pathan, representing the Shirpur Police Station, spoke to reporters regarding the ongoing investigation. He confirmed that the local police channel received an official alert about the incident at approximately 4:30 PM on Sunday. The initial information received by the station indicated that a man had hanged himself, and his wife, son, and daughter had committed suicide by jumping into a well.
Following the notification, Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Tade, accompanied by a team of police staff, immediately dispatched to the site in Tivli village. The officers conducted an initial assessment of the scene and initiated recovery operations to retrieve the bodies.
The police team successfully recovered the bodies of the four deceased individuals from the well and the scene. All four bodies have since been safely transported to the local mortuary.
Sub-Inspector Pathan stated that a formal inquiry has been launched to investigate the deaths. He added that post-mortem examinations were scheduled to take place the following day. According to the police, the medical examinations are necessary to clarify the exact circumstances and cause of death for each of the family members before any final conclusions are drawn.
