FWICE to Respond to Ranveer Singh Legal Notice Over Don 3 Dispute

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has announced it will legally respond to a notice sent by actor Ranveer Singh's representatives regarding an ongoing dispute over the movie 'Don 3'. FWICE President BN Tiwari confirmed the decision on June 3, 2026, revealing that the federation has also withdrawn its non-cooperation directive against the actor to facilitate an amicable resolution.
The dispute had escalated legal and professional tensions surrounding the production of 'Don 3'. However, the stance of the federation appears to be softening as various industry stakeholders step in to help de-escalate the controversy.
According to Tiwari, the federation intends to handle the matter strictly through proper legal channels while cooperating with industry bodies. The decision to withdraw the non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh represents a significant step back from the federation's previous position.
"Everyone has a legal team. They have sent us a notice and our legal team will respond," Tiwari said. "We will continue to deal with the matter legally. But since we feel the issue is moving towards a solution, we have taken a step back and put our faith in the producer bodies and industry representatives."
Tiwari maintained that the federation's actions were never intended to target the actor's standing, stating that FWICE never wanted to pull down a superstar. Instead, the federation is now placing its trust in producer bodies and industry representatives to settle the issue through dialogue.
The legal notice from Ranveer Singh's team prompted this formal shift, but both sides now appear to be moving towards a negotiated settlement. With the non-cooperation directive lifted, the focus turns to the legal teams and industry representatives who are tasked with resolving the remaining points of contention surrounding the film.
