On Tuesday, 16 June 2026, Brihathi Cherukuri, the owner of the Hyderabad E-Champions franchise, announced in Hyderabad that the team's primary objective is to scout, identify, and groom young cricket talent through the TG20 League. Speaking about the franchise's vision, Cherukuri emphasized providing a perfect platform for young athletes to transition into champion performers.

The Hyderabad E-Champions stands as the most expensive franchise in the TG20 League. To lead the team's on-field campaign, the franchise has appointed former Ranji star Anirudh Singh as the head coach.

Cherukuri stated that the team's strategy is heavily guided by their coaches, who selected young and genuine talent. The franchise expects stellar performances from these players, who are highly excited about the opportunity and keen to prove their capabilities on the field. Cherukuri also expressed strong faith in the team's support staff.

According to Cherukuri, several members of the Hyderabad E-Champions squad have already played in the Ranji Trophy and harbor dreams of representing India at the international level.

The franchise's focus on grassroots development aligns with the long-standing sports initiatives of the Ramoji Group. Cherukuri noted that the group has actively promoted cricket and various other sports for the last couple of decades. This involvement includes organizing state-level league cricket championships across both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, which have received a tremendous response in terms of participation and talent discovery.

Furthermore, Cherukuri highlighted "Eenadu Lakshya," a corporate social responsibility initiative by the Ramoji Group. The program focuses on scouting athletes from diverse sports within interior regions to ensure that genuine talent does not lack support. Notably, two athletes supported through this initiative have gone on to win some of India's highest sports awards.
