Hyderabad Uber Driver Kumar Completes Over 23600 Trips After Leaving Amazon Job

A Hyderabad-based Uber driver and former Amazon employee named Kumar has earned recognition as one of the ride-hailing platform's highest-rated drivers in the city after completing nearly 23,600 trips. Kumar, who transitioned from his corporate career at Amazon to follow his personal passion for driving, has spent the last decade operating on the streets of Hyderabad.
Kumar's journey came to light recently when a passenger shared details of a ride with him, highlighting how he left his stable job at Amazon to pursue what he loved. Over his career, Kumar has managed to maintain an exceptionally high rating on the Uber platform while building a reputation for his positive outlook.
Speaking about his career transition, Kumar explained that driving has always been his primary passion. He noted that one of the most rewarding aspects of his daily work is the opportunity to interact with passengers from diverse backgrounds.
"Driving is my passion. I enjoy communicating with people, and that is very important to me. People from different states and countries travel in my cab. I also wanted to explore Hyderabad better because I am from this city," Kumar said.
According to Kumar, his journey as a cab driver began when Uber first launched its services in Hyderabad in 2014. He has remained active on the platform for approximately 10 to 11 years, witnessing the growth of the city's transport landscape firsthand.
During the ride, the customer noted that it is relatively uncommon in India to see individuals actively pursuing their personal passions despite various professional and personal commitments. Impressed by Kumar's enthusiasm, the customer suggested that he consider creating digital content on social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube.
Kumar remains dedicated to his daily routine, expressing that he still finds joy in every journey he takes.
"I have completed almost 23,600 trips and I am still active on the platform. From morning till evening, I enjoy every trip. I get to communicate with so many people, and that is one of the most important things in my life," Kumar said.
