Jubilee Hills to Host Hyderabad's Largest Free Kathak Workshop on June 13

A free and open-to-all Kathak workshop, set to be the largest of its kind in Hyderabad, will be held in Jubilee Hills on June 13, 2026. The day-long event is scheduled to take place at the Jubilee Hills branch of Naad Bhed – The Dance Studio, which is located in the Mayabazar Block of Annapurna Studio.
The upcoming workshop has already received an overwhelming response from the dance community. Nearly 160 Kathak students and teachers representing diverse institutions have already confirmed their participation in the sessions.
The event is being organized by Archana Misra, the Founder and Director of Naad Bhed – The Dance Studio. This workshop is being held as part of the 88th birth anniversary celebrations of Dr. Puru Dadhich, Natavari Kathak Nritya Academy. The initiative aligns with the vision of Pratyush Dadhich to promote the beauty and richness of rare Kathak techniques from across India.
The workshop sessions will be led by Dr. Dyuti Pandya, an Assistant Professor at Parul University. During the classes, Dr. Pandya will present rare Kavitts composed by Dr. Puru Dadhich and Pandit Sundarlal Ganganiji.
To ensure effective learning for all attendees, the organizers will divide the participating students and teachers into three distinct batches based on their current experience levels. The sessions will be tailored separately for Beginners, Intermediate, and Seniors.
The workshop will run as a full-day event, commencing at 9 am and concluding at 5 pm.
A press release from the organizers noted that the event marks the largest-ever free Kathak workshop in Hyderabad. Through this initiative, the organizers aim to celebrate classical dance tradition while inspiring the next generation of dancers.
