Kompally residents meet KTR over irregular water supply and delayed flyover

Residents of Shweta Shubham Residency and local IT professionals from Kompally met with Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao on Friday to raise complaints regarding deteriorating civic infrastructure, irregular water supply, and stalled development projects in their area.
The delegation of residents and IT employees was led by BRS Legislature Party Whip and Qutbullahpur MLA KP Vivekananda. The meeting took place at the former Municipal Minister's residence in Nandi Nagar, where the group submitted formal representations detailing their civic grievances under the current Congress government.
During the interaction, the residents contrasted their current living conditions with the civic amenities they experienced during the previous BRS regime. They expressed appreciation for the infrastructure maintenance that took place under the previous government.
A primary concern raised by the Kompally residents was the drastic change in the local drinking water supply. According to the delegation, drinking water was supplied regularly on alternate days during the BRS government's tenure. However, they alleged that they are now receiving water only once every five days, and at a very low pressure that disrupts their daily lives.
The delegation also brought up major transport and connectivity issues. They raised concerns over the delayed completion of a flyover project being executed by the Central government. The project, which connects Bowenpally, Suchitra junction, Kompally, and Medchal, has been under construction for the last two years, resulting in severe daily traffic congestion.
Furthermore, the residents highlighted a lack of progress on the proposed Metro Rail extension that was planned to run from Kompally to Medchal.
Responding to the representations, Rama Rao accused the Congress government of failing to maintain Hyderabad's existing infrastructure while simultaneously claiming credit for development initiatives started by the BRS. He reminded the delegation that the BRS government had invested heavily in upgrading the city's infrastructure and attracting investments. He assured the residents of BRS's support and pressed the current government to resolve their grievances.
