KT Rama Rao Terms Congress Rule in Telangana an Utter Flop Show at BRS Meeting

On Sunday, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao criticized the Congress government's administration in Telangana, calling its tenure an "utter flop show" during a party meeting at Telangana Bhavan in the Khairatabad constituency of Hyderabad. Rama Rao accused the ruling party of failing to fulfill its electoral promises, engaging in political vendetta, and burdening citizens with misgovernance.
Addressing the BRS Khairatabad constituency general body meeting, Rama Rao compared the Congress's two-and-a-half-year governance to a failed film, stating that the government had been declared a flop before even reaching the interval. He predicted that the remainder of the term would be a complete disaster.
Rama Rao accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of practicing vindictive politics. He claimed that internal conspiracies within the Congress led to a Rajya Sabha setback for Meenakshi Natarajan, the Telangana Congress affairs in-charge. According to Rama Rao, Natarajan was targeted and blocked from her candidature with a case in Hyderabad after she reported alleged corruption in the state to the Congress central leadership.
The BRS leader also criticized the Chief Minister's recent comments citing Adolf Hitler as an inspiration, describing the remarks as shameful for a democratic leader.
Turning to electoral promises, Rama Rao questioned the status of the Congress's pledge to provide two lakh jobs in its first year and the promised Rs 4,000 unemployment allowance, which he alleged have not been implemented. He further challenged the government to prove its claim of creating one crore women entrepreneurs, offering to resign if the feat is proven. He alleged that the government instead owes Rs 1.25 lakh to each eligible beneficiary.
Additionally, the former Municipal Minister accused the government of using HYDRAA to demolish the homes of the poor while failing to build new housing. He stated that the Congress was actively trying to dismantle welfare schemes established during the previous BRS administration under K Chandrashekhar Rao.
With sitting MLA Danam Nagender defecting from the BRS to the Congress, Rama Rao predicted an upcoming bypoll in the Khairatabad constituency. He warned party members to remain vigilant against alleged conspiracies by the ruling party to secure false votes. He urged the BRS cadre to focus on voter outreach through the party's membership drive and electoral roll revisions.
