The upcoming Bollywood film Haunted 3D: Echoes Of The Past, associated with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, has revealed its official storyline ahead of its scheduled 2026 release. The horror-drama features actor Mimoh Chakraborty in the lead role of a devastated filmmaker who flees Mumbai after a personal betrayal, only to encounter supernatural forces in a remote hill station.

According to the official synopsis, Chakraborty portrays Devadutt Choudhary, also known as Dev, a reputed filmmaker on the verge of releasing his latest project, Laila Majnu. Dev is in love with the film's lead actress, Sonali, played by Aradhna. However, days before the movie's release, Dev discovers Sonali with the film's male lead, prompting him to leave Mumbai in distress.

Accompanied by his cousin Titu, played by Gaurav Bajpai, Dev travels continuously until they arrive at a hill station called Maniktal. Seeking peace and solace, Dev decides to rent a local property. A local broker shows him photographs of the historic Maniktal Palace, which Dev decides to lease.

Upon moving into the palace, Dev and Titu notice unusual conditions. The doors and windows of the property's right wing are completely shut, whereas the left wing remains wide open. The palace caretaker, Trilok, portrayed by Hemant Pandey, informs the new tenants that the right wing has remained locked for decades because the keys to that section have been lost.

The plot intensifies during Dev's first night at the palace. Awakened by an eerie noise, Dev discovers that the previously locked doors of the right wing are open. Upon entering, he witnesses an evil spirit harming a girl named Sunheri, played by Chetna Pande. Dev is left confused by how Sunheri is living in a sealed section of the palace and soon realizes she belongs to an entirely different era.

The film is part of the anticipated slate of Hindi cinema releases scheduled for 2026.
