Mohd Shabbir Ali Dismisses Viral Audio Clip as Fake and Responds to TPCC Notice

HYDERABAD - Telangana Government Advisor Mohd Shabbir Ali has dismissed a viral audio clip targeting him as fake, doctored, and politically motivated. Responding on Sunday to a notice issued by the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Disciplinary Committee, Ali denied making any derogatory remarks and announced that he will pursue legal action against those responsible for creating and circulating the recording.
The controversy escalated after an audio recording circulated online, triggering a major row within the Telangana Congress. In the viral audio conversation, the Government Advisor was purportedly heard alleging that leadership positions within the Telangana Congress were being sold for money, alongside claims of rampant sexual exploitation of women.
Following the widespread circulation of the clip, the TPCC Disciplinary Committee issued a notice on Saturday seeking an official explanation from Ali.
In response, Ali submitted a detailed three-page explanation to the disciplinary committee on Sunday. He strongly denied the allegations, stating that any suggestion of him making derogatory remarks against TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud or women associated with the Congress party is completely false.
According to Ali, the fabrication and dissemination of the audio clip was a deliberate and serious attempt to tarnish his personal image and sow seeds of mistrust within the Congress party. The former Minister also stated that such fabricated material was often circulated precisely to provoke reactions, divert attention, and cause greater damage.
To address the issue, Ali announced that he will be initiating criminal defamation and legal proceedings against everyone involved in creating and broadcasting the fake clip without verifying its authenticity first.
Additionally, the Kamareddy Congress unit has already lodged an official complaint with the local police regarding the fabrication and circulation of the audio clip.
