In New Delhi, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 13, 2026, for completing 12 years as an elected Prime Minister. Speaking on the milestone, Dhami highlighted a shift in the Indian electorate toward voting for performance rather than slogans, while contrasting the current administration's achievements with previous Congress party governments.

Dhami's remarks came after Prime Minister Modi reached a personal milestone on June 10, becoming the longest continuously serving elected Prime Minister in India, surpassing the record of Jawaharlal Nehru. Dhami noted that by electing Modi consecutively in 2014, 2019, and 2024, voters demonstrated a clear preference for tangible results.

According to Dhami, on October 7, 2026, Modi will complete 25 years in public office, counting his combined tenures in the two highest executive responsibilities as Chief Minister and Prime Minister. He described Modi's 12 years in office as a period dedicated to public welfare, good governance, service, the upliftment of the poor, and overall progress.

During his address, the Uttarakhand Chief Minister criticized previous Congress administrations, claiming that their development schemes remained confined to files. He contrasted this with the current government, where projects are completed and dedicated to the nation within stipulated timeframes.

Dhami also targeted the Congress party over its past policies, stating that while they raised slogans of poverty eradication for decades, the Modi administration has lifted 25 crore people out of poverty. He added that the government has curbed corruption through the Direct Benefit Transfer system, transferring ₹4.31 lakh crore directly into the accounts of beneficiaries.

Further criticising the opposition, Dhami alleged that the Congress delayed the Ram Temple issue and termed the Ram Setu imaginary. He credited Modi's leadership with completing the temple's construction. He also noted that the Prime Minister's first signature after taking the oath for his third term was on the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi file, showcasing his priority for farmers.
