Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 Beats RRR to Become Most-Watched Indian Film on OTT

Ranveer Singh's spy action thriller "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" has officially become the most-watched Indian film of all time on over-the-top (OTT) streaming platforms, surpassing the long-standing record held by SS Rajamouli's "RRR". The film, which made its digital debut on June 5, 2026, achieved this milestone by drawing record-breaking viewership numbers across major streaming networks.
During its opening weekend on the JioHotstar platform, the sequel secured a massive 50 million views. This achievement marked the largest digital debut ever recorded for any Indian film. With these opening weekend figures alone, the movie matched the previous record-holder "RRR", which had accumulated around 50 million total views during its entire streaming run.
The film's digital footprint extended beyond a single platform. Released on Netflix under the title "Dhurandhar: Raw And Undekha", the movie continued to draw massive audiences. The combined viewership across both JioHotstar and Netflix platforms has officially surpassed 70 million views, setting a new high-water mark for Indian cinema in the digital distribution space.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film features a star-studded cast. Alongside Ranveer Singh, the spy thriller stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, Danish Pandor, and Manav Gohil. The project was produced through a collaboration between Jio Studios and B612 Studios. It serves as the direct sequel to the 2024 film "Dhurandhar".
Before conquering streaming platforms, "Dhurandhar 2" completed an incredibly successful theatrical run. Released globally in theatres on March 19, 2026, the film earned a net total of Rs 1,186.32 crore within India. To maximize its domestic reach, the theatrical release was distributed across several regional languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
On the global stage, the movie's total theatrical gross reached Rs 1,850.85 crore, cementing its status as one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Indian cinema. Its subsequent record-breaking performance on OTT platforms has further solidified its commercial success.
