Six School Buses Seized in Hyderabad Safety Drive as Private Schools Reopen

The Ranga Reddy District Transport Department launched a major safety initiative in Hyderabad on Monday, June 15, 2026, initiating a special enforcement drive to inspect private school buses. The targeted operation, which coincided with the reopening of private schools across the region, led to the immediate seizure of six school buses for violating transport and safety regulations.

Transport Department officials deployed teams to conduct checks at various locations throughout the area. The primary objective of the drive was to verify that all vehicles transporting school children strictly complied with established transport and safety norms as the new academic term commenced.

As part of the roadside inspections, officials meticulously scrutinized essential vehicle documentation. In addition to vehicle paperwork, officials also verified the driver licences of those operating the buses to ensure legal compliance.
