Telangana Police Launch AI-Powered Cyber Labs At CID Headquarters In Hyderabad

The Telangana Police launched an Advanced Computer Lab and She Cyber Lab at the CID Headquarters in Hyderabad on Friday, June 12, 2026. Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand inaugurated the artificial intelligence-powered facility, which is aimed at strengthening technology-driven policing efforts in the state.
The new labs are equipped with advanced tools including smart crime analytics, data management systems, and automated meeting transcription. Additionally, the facility features crime mapping and victim feedback monitoring systems to streamline police response and tracking.
According to police officials, the newly established labs will enhance criminal investigations, cybercrime detection, data analysis, and Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) operations.
The integration of these AI-powered technologies is expected to improve efficiency, transparency, and decision-making within the Crime Investigation Department (CID). The initiative represents a major step in the state police's efforts to adopt advanced technology to combat modern cyber threats and manage criminal data.
