The Telugu drama-fantasy film "Sing Geetham" officially released in theatres on June 12, 2026, receiving widespread acclaim and high ratings from both audiences and critics. Directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, the movie achieved a 4.0 rating out of 5 from critics and users alike, who praised its experimental blend of music, fantasy, and environmental themes.

The film is set in the drought-stricken village of Kuberapuram, where a single surviving tree represents the hope of the local community. The story begins when Pratap, played by Ayaan, returns to the village following his father's death to claim his inheritance. He quickly becomes involved in a local conflict over the fate of the tree.

Gowri, portrayed by Ahilya Bamroo, views the tree as the very soul of Kuberapuram. However, mining interests led by Renu, played by Shalini Kondepudi, and her father destroy the tree to search for gold rumored to be hidden beneath the soil. Following the destruction, the silent villagers are struck by a curse that strips them of their speech, forcing them to communicate solely through songs.

Critics highlighted the film's unique musical premise, noting that while the first half takes time to establish its rhythm, the screenplay successfully evolves into a poignant exploration of community and ecological responsibility. The visual metaphors employed by director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, such as a sparrow building its nest on the lone tree, were noted as key elements of the visual storytelling.

The performances of the lead cast received significant praise. Ahilya Bamroo was commended for bringing conviction to her role as Gowri, while Shalini Kondepudi was noted for adding depth to the character of Renu. Ayaan was also praised for his sincere portrayal of Pratap's transformation from a self-serving individual into a responsible community member.

On the technical side, the film's narrative relies heavily on its soundtrack. Composer Devi Sri Prasad was credited with successfully conveying the characters' emotions through music where dialogue was absent. Cinematographer Ankur was also recognized for capturing the contrasting starkness of the dry landscape and the warmth of the flashback sequences.

"Sing Geetham" has a runtime of 2 hours and 17 minutes and has been certified UA.
