The State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) for Tamil Nadu has officially raised the State’s credit outlay to ₹10.98 lakh crore for the financial year 2026-27. The announcement was made during a key financial meeting held in Chennai on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

During the event, Finance Minister N. Marie Wilson formally released the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) for the 2026-27 financial year, establishing the new credit targets for the state.

The session marked the 186th State Level Bankers’ Committee meeting for Tamil Nadu. The high-level gathering of banking and state officials was convened by the Indian Overseas Bank.

The newly released plan and the increased credit outlay of ₹10.98 lakh crore are set to guide banking operations and credit distribution across Tamil Nadu throughout the 2026-27 financial year.
