Twinkle Khanna Reacts to Rumours About Parents Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia

Author Twinkle Khanna has opened up about growing up in a celebrity household, sharing how she navigated endless media rumours surrounding her parents, Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia.

Speaking in a throwback conversation with Jaaved Jaaferi on the show "Yaadein B-Town Ki – Is Duniya Ke Sitaray", Khanna revealed that the gossip did not affect her. She explained that she learned at an early age to separate public perception from her family's actual private life.

Khanna noted that the versions of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia depicted in media publications did not match the parents she knew at home. "The magazines I used to read and the people who were actually my parents were two completely different people," she recalled.

Addressing how she handled the constant public speculation, Khanna stated that reacting to every report was impossible. "Today there may be 10,000 rumours. If I react to all 10,000 rumours, then I won't be able to live my life. I hear things through one ear and let them go out the other," she said.

During the interview, Khanna discussed the unique upbringing she experienced as a star kid in India, emphasizing the disconnect between public media portrayals of celebrity couples and their private lives as perceived by their children.
