On June 14, 2026, actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna traveled to Thummanpet in Achampet Mandal, Telangana, to launch an education initiative aimed at supporting local government school students. Executed through the Deverakonda Foundation, the program is designed to cover school fees and provide essential study materials for Class 9 and Class 10 students in the region.

The primary objective of the initiative is to reduce school dropout rates and promote education among young students. By ensuring that school fees are paid on time and providing easy access to notebooks and other study materials, the foundation aims to considerably ease the financial burden on local parents. The initiative will support students across 44 government schools in the Thummanpet area.

Thummanpet holds personal significance for the actors, as it is the village where Vijay Deverakonda’s father was born. The couple had previously announced their decision to support these students in February 2026, following their traditional wedding in Udaipur.

Deverakonda shared the update on his X handle, writing that they were on their way to the village to fulfill their promise and reward the hardworking students. Mandanna reshared the post on her social media handle with red heart emojis to express her happiness regarding the project.

On the professional front, Deverakonda and Mandanna are scheduled to share screen space for the first time as a married couple in the upcoming period drama "Ranabaali." This project marks their third professional collaboration, following their previous roles in "Geetha Govindam" and "Dear Comrade." The upcoming film is reportedly inspired by real historical incidents from the 1850s that were never recorded in mainstream history books and were allegedly misrepresented by the British.
