Vijayalakshmi Urges Darshan Thoogudeepa Fans to Remain Calm Amid Murder Case

On Wednesday, Vijayalakshmi, the wife of Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, appealed to his fans and fellow celebrities to remain calm and trust the judicial process. The statement was issued following her meeting with Darshan, who is currently held in judicial custody over the alleged murder of 33-year-old Renukaswamy. The victim's body was discovered near a storm-water drain in Sumanahalli, Bengaluru, on June 9.

Taking to Instagram after her meeting, Vijayalakshmi shared a message addressing the ongoing situation. She wrote a detailed post asking supporters to maintain peace while the legal proceedings continue. In her post, she stated that she had discussed the external situation with Darshan, noting that the conversation had touched his heart.

According to Vijayalakshmi, Darshan requested that all celebrities stay calm and focus on doing good deeds. She expressed her belief that he would remain in the prayers of his supporters. Additionally, she emphasized her faith in the legal system and added that she firmly believes those attempting to harm her husband through words or actions during his absence would be taken care of by Mother Chamundeshwari.

The appeal was made as law enforcement officials in Bengaluru address a rise in complaints against Darshan's followers. Multiple fans have been arrested for sending online death threats to individuals who spoke out against the actor. Kannada actor Pritam filed a police complaint after receiving threats from the actor's supporters.

Darshan and 16 other accused individuals, including his friend Pavithra Gowda, are facing charges for the murder of Renukaswamy. Police investigations indicate that the victim was tortured and killed. Investigators suggest that the conflict arose after Renukaswamy sent obscene messages to Gowda, which allegedly enraged Darshan and led to the fatal incident.
