The Bollywood horror film Haunted 3D: Echoes Of The Past, directed by Vikram Bhatt, officially released on June 12, 2026. The movie stars Mimoh Chakraborty as Devadutt "Dev" Choudhary, a prominent filmmaker who begins his journey in Mumbai before fleeing to a remote hill station to escape a personal crisis.

The plot follows Dev, a reputed director whose latest film, Laila Majnu, is on the verge of its theatrical release. Dev is deeply in love with the lead actress of his film, Sonali, played by Aradhna. However, just days before the premiere, Dev catches Sonali with the film's male lead, shattering his personal and professional life.

Devastated by the betrayal, Dev decides to leave Mumbai immediately without informing anyone of his departure. He is accompanied by his cousin, Titu, played by Gaurav Bajpai. The two travel continuously until they reach a quiet hill station named Maniktal, where Dev hopes to find peace and solace.

While in Maniktal, Dev decides to look for a place to rent. A local broker shows him pictures of the historic Maniktal Palace. Attracted to the property, Dev agrees to become a tenant and moves in with Titu.

Immediately upon entering the estate, the cousins realize that something is wrong. All the doors and windows of the right wing of the palace are tightly shut, whereas the left wing is completely open. The palace caretaker, Trilok, played by Hemant Pandey, tells them that the right wing has remained locked for decades and that the keys to that section are missing.

The mystery intensifies on their first night. Dev wakes up to an eerie noise and discovers that the locked doors of the right wing have opened. Inside, he encounters an evil spirit and a young woman named Sunheri, played by Chetna Pande. Dev is shocked to see the spirit harming Sunheri and struggles to understand how she is living in a section of the palace that has been sealed for over a century, realizing she belongs to a different era.
