The Hindi horror film Haunted 3D: Echoes Of The Past, directed by Vikram Bhatt, was scheduled for release on June 12, 2026. The film's narrative begins in Mumbai, centering on a filmmaker who flees the city after a personal betrayal, leading him to a haunted palace in a remote hill station.

The film stars Mimoh Chakraborty as Devadutt Choudhary, also known as Dev, a reputed filmmaker whose latest project, Laila Majnu, is on the verge of its theatrical release. Dev is in love with the film’s lead actress, Sonali, played by Aradhna. However, just days before the movie's launch, Dev catches Sonali with the male lead of the film.

Devastated by the betrayal, Dev abruptly leaves Mumbai without informing anyone. He is accompanied by his cousin, Titu, played by Gaurav Bajpai. The two travel continuously until they arrive at a peaceful hill station named Maniktal, where Dev seeks solace and decides to rent a place to stay.

A local broker shows Dev images of the Maniktal Palace, and Dev decides to rent the property. Upon entering the palace, Dev and Titu immediately notice that the building's layout is unusual. All the doors and windows of the right wing are tightly shut, whereas the left wing's doors and windows are wide open.

The palace caretaker, Trilok, played by Hemant Pandey, explains to the new tenants that the right wing has remained shut for decades because the keys to that section of the palace are missing.

On their very first night at the palace, Dev is awakened by an eerie noise. He leaves his room and discovers that the doors to the forbidden right wing have been opened. Upon entering, Dev encounters an evil spirit and a girl named Sunheri, played by Chetna Pande. Dev witnesses the spirit harming Sunheri and is left confused as to how she is living in a section of the palace that has been locked for more than a century, eventually realizing she belongs to a different era.
