Viyona Fintech Secures BBPS Biller Operating Unit Certification

Viyona Fintech India Private Limited, a technology service provider based in Hyderabad, has successfully completed its certification as a Biller Operating Unit under the Bharat Bill Payment System. The company announced the milestone on June 11, 2026, after securing the official approval from NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited, which operates the system.
The newly acquired certification officially clears the Hyderabad-based company to go live as a Biller Operating Unit (BOU). This status enables Viyona Fintech to onboard billers across multiple sectors—including utilities, education, insurance, and financial services—allowing them to collect payments directly through India's Bharat BillPay network.
According to company officials, onboarding operations for partner billers are scheduled to begin in the coming weeks. The integration is designed to offer these partner billers a compliant, ready-to-integrate pathway to connect with one of the largest interoperable bill payment networks in the country.
With this latest milestone, Viyona Fintech adds the BBPS BOU certification to its growing portfolio of National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) certifications. The company's existing technology stack already includes certifications for UPI Switch (covering both Issuer and Acquirer functions), IMPS, Banking Connect, and eKYC Setu.
These prior integrations have reinforced the company's position as a full-stack payments technology provider. Viyona Fintech currently serves a variety of banks, billers, and financial institutions across India with these services.
"Bill payments are where digital inclusion becomes real for everyday Indians, and BBPS is the rail that makes it interoperable," said Ravindranath Yarlagadda, Chairman and CEO of Viyona Fintech, regarding the certification.
The approval is expected to strengthen Viyona Fintech's overall digital payments portfolio and significantly expand its payment collection capabilities.
