YouTuber Shaik Mahaboob Stabbed to Death in Hyderabad's Kumarwadi

A 30-year-old YouTuber and electrician was stabbed and beaten to death inside his home in the Kumarwadi area of Golconda, Hyderabad, on Friday afternoon. The victim, identified as Shaik Mahaboob, who was also known as Chandi Masood, was attacked at approximately 3:20 PM following a suspected family dispute.

According to the Golconda Police, the incident occurred shortly after Mahaboob returned home from Friday prayers. Investigators revealed that Mahaboob noticed a group of men following him as he neared his residence. In an attempt to escape, he rushed inside his house for safety.

However, the attackers allegedly forced their way into the residence and launched a brutal assault on him. Police stated that Mahaboob was stabbed multiple times. The assailants also used iron rods and gym equipment found inside the house to beat him. Mahaboob suffered severe injuries, including trauma to his head, and died on the spot before he could be transported to a hospital.

The Golconda Police have identified the prime suspect as Shaik Sohail, the brother of Mahaboob's wife. Investigators suspect that Sohail carried out the attack with the assistance of two associates, identified as Afu and Jabir.

The police believe the murder is linked to a long-running dispute with the victim's in-laws. Mahaboob had entered a love marriage with his wife approximately one-and-a-half years ago, a union that reportedly went against the wishes of some of her family members. While the couple later had a child, tensions between Mahaboob and his wife's family allegedly continued.

Additional DCP Krishna Goud said that police investigators are currently verifying the facts of the case and recording statements from witnesses to establish the exact motive. Special police teams have been formed to track down and arrest the suspects.

A murder case has been officially registered, and Mahaboob's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. The incident has caused shockwaves and created tension in the Kumarwadi locality, where local residents and the victim's family are demanding swift action.
