Zoha Qureshi Defeats Purvi Patwa in ATF Under-14 Tennis Tournament

On Tuesday, 16 June 2026, tennis player Zoha Qureshi advanced to the second round of the girls' singles draw at the Tirumala Sreedhar ATF Under-14 (Grade A) South Asia tennis tournament. The opening round match was held at the Lake View Tennis Academy in Hyderabad, where Qureshi secured a straight-sets victory over opponent Purvi Patwa.

Qureshi defeated Patwa with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-2 to secure her progression in the tournament. Alongside Qureshi, several other young players registered comfortable victories in their respective first-round matches in the girls' singles category.

In the other matches of the day, P. Ramesh defeated Anandita Sarker in a dominant performance with a score of 6-1, 6-0. Shaurya Patil also advanced to the next round by defeating Azam Rania 6-4, 6-1. Sk. Sazfa secured a victory against A. Shivapuram with a score of 6-1, 6-1.

Ravikumar Diya won her first-round match against Aditri Singh 6-0, 6-3. Meanwhile, P. Daungkhiaw defeated Saumya Choudhary 6-2, 6-3, and Aaradhana Tehlan beat Samairah Panchal 6-3, 6-1 to book her spot in the second round of the tournament.

P. Vattaprambil registered a 6-1, 6-0 win over Falak Mehta. Krishika Gautam also moved ahead by defeating Swara Pawar 6-1, 6-0. Sarena Gahlot achieved a victory, defeating Rhea Jodbhavi 6-0, 6-1.

Tirsha Bhosale won a closely contested match against Khushi Budhya, finishing 6-1, 7-6 (1). In a three-set encounter, Tamanna Nair advanced after Dhrutee Gundu retired from the match. The score was 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 at the time of retirement.

V. Balajee defeated Aleeza Simra 6-3, 6-1, while S. Suryavanshi beat A. Gavinolla 6-4, 6-2. Saatvi Mardaniya registered a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Myra Shaikh. In the final match of the round, N. Philoikasembsook progressed after Khushi Kadian retired with the score at 2-6, 6-3, 5-2.
